Are Skin Boosters , Polynucleotides and Exosome Injections   the Same as Fillers?

No – They are  not a dermal filler they are superficial skin health injections

Skin Boosters

What is the difference between skin boosters And Dermal Fillers

Skin boosters hit the sweet spot of doing the work yet not looking like work. This is hugely appealing for anyone who is intrigued by the idea of injectables but terrified of looking frozen or artificially “ Filled” . The give and enhanced natural appearance .Hyaluronic acid (HA) skin boosters and hyaluronic acid (HA) Dermal Fillers are not the same product despite both injectables containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as the main ingredient. The two treatments are also not interchangeable when it comes to offering skin ageing treatments as they behave in different ways. Fillers are injected at a deeper level and are not sold for skin health improvements.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) skin boosters are not cross-linked and are usually much thinner in consistency and therefore have a greater spread. Ultimately, skin boosters can be used to soften fine lines, hydrate, and improve the texture and condition of the skin.

Dermal fillers simply add volume to the skin. They are “inert” volumizers in the tissues and the results are immediate. Fillers can stay in the tissues from anywhere between 6 months to years later, some remnants are there even up to 12 years later. Some people aren’t suitable for filler in the tear troughs if their skin is loose as HA draws in water and will create puffiness over time.

Even in those who are suitable, HA filler can move and create swelling years later.

Skin Health injections are different, in that they stimulate regeneration at the cellular level so it takes time to be seen visually of Skin Health injections and dermal fillers may sometimes be recommended for an overall holistic regeneration.

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are essentially chains of nucleotides, the building blocks of DNA and RNA, used in aesthetic treatments to rejuvenate the skin. They are injectable, derived from fish DNA (often salmon or trout), and work by stimulating the skin’s natural regenerative processes, boosting collagen and elastin production. This leads to improved skin texture, hydration, and elasticity, reducing wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation issues.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

What are they?

  • Polynucleotides are biopolymers composed of nucleotide monomers linked together.
  • They are naturally occurring DNA fragments that stimulate cell regeneration and tissue repair.
  • In aesthetic medicine, they are used as injectable bio-stimulators to improve skin quality.

How do they work?

  • Polynucleotides trigger the skin’s natural repair mechanisms.
  • They stimulate fibroblasts, cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, which are crucial for skin structure and elasticity.
  • They also improve the extracellular matrix, boosting hydration and reducing inflammation.
  • The treatment helps to remodel the skin, smooth texture, reduce scars, and improve overall skin quality.

What are the benefits?

  • Reduced wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Improved skin elasticity and firmness.
